After we complete a project for you, such as a corporate Web site or a Web-based application, you may have a need for ongoing routine maintenance tasks. For example, updating content, adding functionality and so forth. We have many such maintenance agreements with our clients, and even if we didn't create your Web site or application for you, we can enter into a maintenance agreement simply to ease the burden of these maintenance tasks.
When working under a maintenance contract, we usually receive the request via e-mail (the recommended method for tracking purposes), fax or phone. The request is reviewed by your project manager, who then assigns it to the appropriate staff member. When the request is complete, you receive an e-mail confirming the request has been completed. Our standard turnaround for maintenance is 24 hours or less, however if the request requires additional time, notification of that fact is given as soon as possible.
Maintenance, consisting of basic content changes or minor application modifications, is billed at predefined hourly rates based on the type of work. The time to complete tasks is billed in increments of 15 minutes. All maintenance is logged and an invoice generated monthly. The invoice lists the type of task, amount of time, rate for task type and the date it was performed. Special projects, such as enhancements to the completed application, are handled on a "per-project" basis. Based on the scope of the project, a separate estimate is generated with a budget range and timeline.
